The EMS Nigeria was established in 1986 as a courier arm of the Nigerian Postal Service following the decision of the universal postal union(UPU) at its 1984 congress in Hamburg, Germany for member-countries to set up courier service as a direct response to the incursion of private courier companies into the traditional domain of the post.
EMS/speed post ensures very speedy delivery of all items. The service offers a standard delivery time of 24-48hrs for domestic items and 48-72hrs for international items.
EMS/Speedpost has the widest domestic network in Nigeria. It is present in virtually all local government in the country with more than 400 offices nationwide. Taking advantage of its membership of the universal postal union (UPU), it is represented all over the world in more than 129 countries.
